Matt Brown missed weight on Friday for what is the biggest fight of his career to date, coming in at 172.5 pounds on his initial attempt for a fight with Robbie Lawler at UFC on Fox 12. Brown now has two hours to cut the pound and a half necessary to be in the one pound allowance. Prelim fighter Juliana Lima is in the same boat after coming in a pound over the allowance for her women's strawweight bout with Joanna Jedrzejczyk.
UPDATE: Dana White told Ariel Helwani after the weigh-ins that Brown will not be cutting anymore weight, and will simply forfeit 20% of his purse for missing weight. White also added that it won't mean anything for Brown's shot at the title if he wins.
UPDATE #2: Turns out there was some confusion from the CSAC. Brown was willing to attempt to cut the final pound and a half, but the commission told him he could not. As a result, per Dana White, Brown will not be fined for missing the mark, and will still be eligible for bonuses tomorrow night.
