The UFC will not be going after a stadium event in Brazil this October after all, but they're still bringing UFC 179 on pay-per-view.
That card is one of four events coming to Brazil before the end of the year, as in addition to the UFC Fight Night 51 event in September, dates and locations in November and December are now set as well.
According to Brazilian site Terra.com the UFC 179 card will now take place at the Maracanazinho Gymnasium in Rio de Janeiro on Oct. 25, then the UFC will head to Uberlandia in Minas Gerais on Nov. 8, making one last stop in the country on Dec. 20 for another UFC Fight Night card in Barueri in Sao Paulo.
Penick's Analysis: The UFC has been making plenty of trips to Brazil over the last several years, and this is just keeping in line with that frequency. The Fight Night events are expected to air live on Fox Sports 1, while the UFC 179 card will air on pay-per-view.
DON'T GO YET... WE SUGGEST THESE MMATORCH ARTICLES, TOO!
