"Well it's hard to predict because Cain is a tough bastard and Fabricio is a tricky bastard. It can go both ways, I just don't know. Cain doesn't fight that often so it's hard to gauge his improvement level, and Fabricio is improving all the time. 60/40 for Cain, but don't rule out Fabricio. Many times people have ruled him out, and every time he keeps crawling back. He's tough, like a cockroach.

Still I think Cain should get him, 60/40 for Cain. But, but I would like to fight Fabricio for the title. And on my own personal goals I definitely see a UFC title upcoming. You know, it's been a little bit of a rough time, a lot of changes. Changes are never good, usually are for the better, as you see in my case it wasn't. But yeah, now everything is kind of settled down and I definitely see a new title coming."

-Alistair Overeem talks to Submission Radio about the UFC 180 title bout between Cain Velasquez and Fabricio Werdum, as well as why he feels a UFC Title bout remains in his future (transcribed by BJPenn.com).

Penick's Analysis: Velasquez-Werdum is definitely a hard fight to judge. Velasquez's layoff has to be taken into account, and Werdum has shown improvements that make past performances perhaps inadequate in determining what challenge he presents to the Champion. Either of them could legitimately win that fight, and Overeem could easily find himself in title contention with a few wins in a row. Now, a third Overeem-Werdum fight doesn't seem all that interesting given what happened the last time they fought, but Werdum's been a different fighter since then, so things could be very different on that front. Velasquez-Overeem down the line could be highly intriguing, though.
