Chris Camozzi was supposed to fight earlier this month at UFC Fight Night 39 in Abu Dhabi, but his opponent Andrew Craig had to pull out of the event late due to illness.
He was paid his show money, and the UFC has given him a quick booking.
It was announced on Thursday that Camozzi's next fight will take place at UFC 175 in Las Vegas, and he'll take on Bruno Santos on the card.
Camozzi is out to halt a two fight losing streak, having been submitted by "Jacare" Souza and dropping a decision to Lorenz Larkin in his last outing.
Santos entered the UFC with a perfect 13-0 record in December, but dropped a decision to Krzysztof Jotko in his debut in Australia.
UFC 175 is expected to feature two title fights with Chris Weidman vs. Lyoto Machida and Ronda Rousey vs. Alexis Davis in the top two bouts.
