Michael Bisping is no stranger to call outs, with fighters consistently looking to try making a name for themselves by getting through a well-known name. The latest to make an attempt is Brad Tavares, who like Bisping lost a fight last week.
The loss snapped a five-fight winning streak for Tavares, and he's hoping to get both he and Bisping back into the cage quickly.
. @bisping we both comin off a loss, u know Im not going to take you down and hump u. But I will be there to take your head off lets do this
Bisping was open to the idea, and said he's ready to fight as soon as possible after dropping a decision to Tim Kennedy at "The Ultimate Fighter: Nations" Finale.
@BradTavares I want to FIGHT ASAP. Speak to the bosses. I've never turned anyone down.
Penick's Analysis: Bisping's trying to stay busy, this is a competitive fight, the UFC'll probably put it together. Right now, Bisping needs a little activity, needs to win a fight or two to close out the year, and then the UFC could make him an option for Anderson Silva's return fight a eight months to a year from now. This is as sensible a fight as any now for Bisping, as he was effectively taken out of the mix with the Kennedy loss.
