Travis Browne suffered a number of injuries in his loss to Fabricio Werdum on Saturday night, and we've now gotten an update on just how much damage he took from one of his coaches, Ricky Lundell.
Posting a few updates on Twitter, Lundell revealed that Browne indeed broke his hand and his rib, with the Florida commission revealing as well in their medical suspension list that Browne suffered a broken nose, too.
Penick's Analysis: Browne got beat up in that fight pretty badly, that's clear, and it's going to take him a little while to recover both mentally and physically from that loss. But it's a learning experience. His wins over Alistair Overeem and Josh Barnett last year are legit, and he fell to a very good heavyweight in Werdum here. He can bounce back, but he has a lot of areas in which to improve if he's actually going to make a title run.
DON'T GO YET... WE SUGGEST THESE MMATORCH ARTICLES, TOO!
