Travis Browne had a rough night at UFC on Fox 11, losing steam late in the first round against Fabricio Werdum and getting peppered with strikes throughout the 25-minute fight.
At the post-fight press conference, UFC President Dana White said they believed Browne broke his rib in the first round, and "definitely" broke his hand as well.
Whether or not the injuries led to Browne's poorer than expected performance, his three-fight winning streak was snapped, and it will be back in the field moving forward.
Penick's Analysis: Browne isn't used to long fights, so even if he didn't break anything, it's reasonable to believe he could have been worn down earlier in that fight than Werdum anyway. Regardless, if he broke his rib it was likely off something that Werdum did. It shouldn't take away from Werdum's performance, which honestly was one of the most complete start to finish of his career.
