Donald Cerrone pulled off a fantastic come from behind win over Edson Barboza on Saturday at UFC on Fox 11, scoring a knockdown in a round he was losing before latching on a fight ending rear naked choke.
Barboza actually hurt Cerrone early, landing a flurry of strikes off the bat that had Cerrone trying to grapple. He held off the early takedown attempt and spent the next couple of minutes out-striking Cerrone in what appeared to be a one-sided round.
Then, out of nowhere, Cerrone landed a stiff jab to Barboza's face that sent him crashing to the mat. He then immediately seized the opportunity, took Barboza's back, locked on the choke, and forced the tap.
Cerrone has now won three straight fights in the UFC, all by stoppage, while Barboza suffers just the second loss of his MMA career.
