UFC Champ Jon Jones said this week that he was tired of hearing Alexander Gustafsson talk after their UFC 165 fight last September. Jones won the fight, but Gustafsson continues to mention Jones in interviews and is gearing up for a likely rematch later this year.

But while Gustafsson's going to be next in line, Jones has heard enough from the Swede about what Gustafsson believes he has on Jones. Suffice it to say, he's not going to be thrilled with the latest comments from the top contender.

"To fight me, it's a really bad matchup for him. He knows that, and he's just trying to avoid it as long as possible," Gustafsson said in an interview with MMAJunkie.com.

"It's not a good fight for him because I will say I'm the faster guy in my division right now, and we are about the same size. Everything doesn't match well for him, at all."

First thing's first, as Jones must get past Glover Teixeira later this month at UFC 172, but if and when he does that, the rematch with Gustafsson will be at no loss for drama.

Penick's Analysis: It's certainly a difficult matchup for Jones, especially in comparison to every other fight he's had. That said, he fought what was not his best performance against Gustafsson at UFC 165, and yet still dug in for a fantastic final ten minutes to take the decision after taking at least one of the first three rounds. Gustafsson performed well for much of the fight, and gave Jones a challenge he'd never faced before, but now he has faced it. Repeating that performance and being better this time isn't going to be easy.
