Despite suffering brutal losses in three of his last four fights, it appears Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira doesn't want to retire just yet.
In an interview with MMAFighting.com, Nogueira's manager, Jorge Guimaraes, said there's still one fight that seems to be on his mind.
"Maybe a last fight against Frank Mir to square off and retire," Guimaraes commented. "He mentioned that way before his fight against Roy Nelson was scheduled. He just can't live without avenging these losses."
That could change off what happened Friday in Abu Dhabi, where he was knocked out cold by an overhand right from Roy Nelson. Still, it's on his mind.
Penick's Analysis: I sincerely hope he doesn't come back for another fight, and at this point there's no reason for the UFC to book that fight a third time outside of giving them both one more fight. Mir still has a job despite several losses in a row, but he's beaten Nogueira twice decisively. Though he'll likely just take any fight the UFC gives him, there just isn't much of anything in a third Nogueira fight for him. Also, I just have no desire to see Nogueira take any more damage to his body from this sport.
