The UFC announced a slew of new fights on Tuesday for their April 11 card in Abu Dhabi, confirming previously reported bouts and announcing several others for the Fight Night event.
Headlining the night's card is the five-round heavyweight fight between Roy Nelson and Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, with a featherweight bout between Clay Guida and Tatsuya Kawajiri taking the night's co-main event slot.
In heavyweight action, Poland's Daniel Omielanczuk will take on Jared Rosholt, with both entering off of victories in their respective UFC debuts.
At middleweight, Chris Camozzi takes on Andrew Craig, with each of them trying to bounce back from recent losses. Rani Yahya is dropping down to bantamweight after a loss to Tom Niinimaki last November, and he'll take on Johnny Bedford on the card.
Flyweights Alptekin Ozkilic and Dustin Ortiz will try to get back on track after decision losses in their last outings. Ozkilic fell to impressive newcomer Louis Smolka, while Ortiz had a seeming win taken away by controversial scorecards against John Moraga.
Following a short notice win over Charlie Brenneman in his UFC debut, Beneil Dariush will return on this card against Ultimate Fighter 13 runner-up Ramsey Nijem; the undefeated Ryan LaFlare gets back into the cage as well, taking on veteran John Howard in a welterweight bout; middleweights Trevor Smith and Thales Leites look to string together wins, and finally, a pair of UFC newcomers rounds things out as Jim "The Beast" Alers takes on undefeated Iraqi featherweight Alan Omer.
The event will air live in the U.S. on the UFC Fight Pass, and is the second of six events for the UFC in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) this year.
