Ultimate Fighter season 17 winner Kelvin Gastelum has got the fight he wanted, as the UFC announced late Friday night that he'll take on Rick Story at UFC 171 in Dallas.
Gastelum made an impressive welterweight debut last August, submitting Brian Melancon after knocking him down. That followed up his middleweight TUF finals victory over Uriah Hall, but an injury kept him out of a fight last month on the UFC on Fox 9 card.
Now he'll return on March 15 against Story, who got back into the win column in his last outing. The inconsistent Story defeated Quinn Mulhern by TKO in March of last year, but lost a split decision to Mike Pyle in his next outing in May. He then defeated Brian Ebersole by decision at UFC 167 in November.
UFC 171 takes place from Dallas, Texas, airing live on pay-per-view with a fight between Johny Hendricks and Robbie Lawler for the vacant UFC Welterweight Championship in the night's main event.
