Julianna Pena was Miesha Tate's No. 1 pick for the Ultimate Fighter's women's tournament this season, and she closed things out in dominant fashion on Saturday night in Las Vegas.
Taking on the last pick for Team Rousey in Jessica Rakoczy, Pena was dominant on the ground and forced referee Mario Yamasaki to step in with just a second left in the first round.
The fight was Pena's from the start, as she scored an early takedown and remained relentless with her pressure. Though Rakoczy got back to her feet from that takedown, it was not to be on the next one, and Pena unleashed a furious assault from the mount.
Rakoczy tried to buck out of it, and tried to defend initially, but it was a futile attempt, and she ultimately resorted to cover up. Pena rained down more strikes, and Yamasaki had seen enough.
Pena joined her Team Tate teammate Chris Holdsworth as the winners of this season's dual 135 lb. tournaments.
