Donald Cerrone bounced back from his loss to Anthony Pettis with an impressive win over KJ Noons in the UFC 160 main card opener. Cerrone came out strong with kicks and made KJ Noons aware takedowns would make the difference in this brutal three round affair.
Noons lost steam in the second round, and Cerrone kept Noons at kickboxing range and kneed or shot in on the bloodied Noons when he tried to close the distance. Noons ate a number of knees, but the takedowns and vicious elbows of Cerrone further bloodied Noons.
Cerrone used amazing top control and grounded and pounded his way to a unanimous decision even geting a 10-8 round from one judge. This is a solid win for Cerrone, and it is the third straight loss for Noons under the Zuffa banner and he is 0-1 in the UFC.
