After a highly impressive UFC debut last week at UFC on FX 8, former Strikeforce Middleweight Champion Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza is going to get a stiff test in his next fight. UFC President Dana White revealed on Thursday following a UFC 160 media event that Souza will take on Yushin Okami next, though a date and location for the fight is not yet set.
Souza's first round submission over Chris Camozzi was his second straight over a UFC competitor, technically, as he did the same to Ed Herman - who was loaned to Strikeforce for one fight - in January. His run since losing a decision to Luke Rockhold has him firmly in the top ten of the division, and a bout with Okami could lead to a title fight.
For Okami, it's another chance to work his way back to another rematch with Anderson Silva himself. The one-time title challenger suffered a shocking upset loss to Tim Boetsch after losing to Silva in 2011, but he's fired back with three straight wins in the last year. Most recently, Okami defeated Hector Lombard in Japan in March.
