Roy Nelson was prepared to step up this weekend for UFC 160 in case Mark Hunt was unable to get a visa to fight Junior dos Santos, and that willingness to fight has apparently extended to another event in need.
The UFC announced Tuesday night that Nelson has agreed to face Stipe Miocic at UFC 161 next month, adding another fight to the main card in Winnipeg. However, it's technically a replacement fight, as Nelson's taking Miocic away from his originally scheduled fight against Soa Palelei on the card.
Palelei is currently without an opponent, though that could change in the coming week. The event has been shaken up this week following the loss of Renan Barao in the night's main event, which in turn moved Dan Henderson vs. Rashad Evans into the headlining slot on the June 15 card in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
