EA Sports unveiled the first look at their new UFC game during the launch of the next generation Xbox One console. Announced alongside EA's Madden 25, FIFA 14, and NBA Live, EA's UFC will debut in the next 12 months on the console.
EA revealed a brand new gaming engine, EA Sports Ignite, which will drive their next generation of games. UFC featherweight contender Anthony Pettis was a part of their debut video, talking about some of the important things necessary to bring about the real feel of sports.
They hyped "human intelligence" and "true player motion" playing a part into their next generation, promising significantly higher processing power. They also gave a short look at each of the new games and how they'll look on Xbox One.
Pettis' "Showtime Kick" against Ben Henderson was animated in amazing fashion, but it wasn't clear whether that was gameplay footage or not. Regardless, the UFC is a big part of EA's plans on the next generation of consoles, and will be brought to the new Xbox One in the next year.
Penick's Analysis: The new Xbox One looks fantastic, and though it wasn't clear if the animation was what we'll get out of gameplay, the character models were incredibly life-like. We'll get more out of EA in the coming months regarding these games, but the UFC on the Xbox One is going to be a very intriguing game come this time next year.
