The fight announcements were nonstop on Wednesday, and another bout now headed to UFC 159 in April will pit bantamweights Erik Perez and Johnny Bedford against one another.
Perez will be out to continue his impressive run in the UFC, which has seen him score three straight stoppage wins inside the Octagon. Those wins - over John Albert, Ken Stone, and Byron Bloodworth - moved his current winning streak to nine straight fights, bringing him to 13-4 overall in his career.
Bedford entered the UFC out of The Ultimate Fighter 14, and scored a win over fellow cast member Louis Gaudinot at that season's finale. Injuries hampered him throughout 2012, and took him out of a number of proposed bouts before he finally returned at The Ultimate Fighter 16 Finale in December. At that event, he made it two straight stoppage wins in the UFC when he finished Marcos Vinicius.
UFC 159 takes place on April 27 from the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, headlined by the Light Heavyweight Championship bout between Jon Jones and Chael Sonnen.
