Dec 9, 2008 - 8:09:54 PM By: Jamie Penick, MMATorch Editor-in-Chief At a Q&A session today for UFC Fight Night 16, Dana White clarified the Welterweight Title picture following January's tilt between GSP and B.J. Penn. MMAWeekly.com reported on the Q&A, saying that when asked if St. Pierre would go on to face Anderson Silva if he defeats B.J., Dana said "No. If he beats B.J. Penn, he'll fight Thiago Alves. And then, if he beats Thiago, maybe we'll start talking about them meeting at a catch weight fight or GSP going right to 185 and fighting."
He also said that should B.J. win that fight, Alves would get a shot against him for the belt. This would mean the lightweight division would be held up yet again, and Kenny Florian would continue to be on the edge without a title shot of his own.

I am very nervous that Carlos Condit will win on Saturday night, and that I won't be able to fight Nick Diaz this summer. Carlos Condit is a very good fighter, he can strike, he is aggressive and he has submissions...
Georges St-Pierre is the only logical choice for Sonnen, since he's made it clear to the world at large that Anderson Silva wants nothing to do with him. And since everything that comes out of Chael's mouth when hyping a fight can be taken as gospel...
