By: Jamie Penick, MMATorch Editor-in-Chief One fighter that's not too worried about his spot with the UFC is lightweight Roger Huerta, who signed a five fight deal on Monday with the organization. MMAWeekly.com reported the signing this afternoon. Huerta is coming off of a loss to Kenny Florian at UFC 87, and according to the MMAWeekly report he's expected back in action sometime next March.
Huerta is a top 10 lightweight, going 6-0 in the UFC prior to coming up short against Florian. Huerta couldn't figure out an answer for Florian throughout the three round encounter, losing a decision to the current #1 contender.
