"I think a [UFC return] is pretty likely. I think it's a good fit for a person like me. I mean, unless you don't want me to go in there and beat all those dudes up and throw your rankings out of whack and change the perception of who the best heavyweights in the world are. Now, if you don't want that, definitely don't bring me over. If you want to have the biggest and best collection of heavyweights in the world, you've got to have me there. I want to go where the opportunity is best, and I like the idea of that full roster over in the [UFC] being at my disposal to dispose of."
-Josh Barnett talks to Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour about a potential return to the UFC following the expected end of Strikeforce in 2013.
Penick's Analysis: At this stage, despite the past, Barnett's a heavyweight that belongs in the mix fighting other top heavyweights. His only loss in the last six plus years was his last fight against Daniel Cormier. He's among the top fighters in the division, and should be brought in to the UFC to keep the top fighters in the Octagon. There's very little outside of the UFC in that division, and at this point, Barnett can contend against the UFC's current heavyweight field.
