The Nevada State Athletic Commission surprised Ultimate Fighter 16 coaches Roy Nelson and Shane Carwin with random drug tests late last month, and the results have come back.
Both fighters were tested for both steroids and diuretics, and each of them passed both tests. NSAC executive director Keith Kizer informed MMATorch of the results on Friday.
Carwin and Nelson will square off in Las Vegas on Dec. 15 at The Ultimate Fighter 16 Finale event. It will be Carwin's first fight since a loss to current Champ Junior dos Santos in June of 2011. Nelson's fought three times since Carwin last fought, winning two of those three bouts.
