A fight between two more very good lightweight fighters is headed to the UFC on Fox 6 show in Chicago this January, as the UFC announced on Tuesday that T.J. Grant will face off against Matt Wiman.
Both fighters have looked very good in recent bouts, and are looking to continue climbing their way to the top of a very deep welterweight division. Wiman's won five of his last six fights, with the sole loss in that stretch a close decision to Dennis Siver. In his most recent appearance, Wiman pulled off an improbable outcome, handing submission whiz Paul Sass his first career loss with an armbar in the first round.
Grant's been just as impressive, perhaps more, since dropping to the lightweight division. The former welterweight has won three straight fights, most recently taking a clear decision over Evan Dunham at UFC 152 in a fantastic three round fight.
UFC on Fox 6 takes place on Saturday, January 26 from the United Center in Chicago, Ill., headlined by a Flyweight Championship bout between Demetrious "Mighty Mouse" Johnson and TUF 14 winner John Dodson.
