"Stephan Bonnar is a great fighter; his story is a big part of the UFC. He’s big, big guy but I feel good not to have to cut weight to middleweight. For me, it is very important to retire undefeated, and I want to retire undefeated in the UFC. This is a tricky night for me Saturday. He has good BJJ and brings the fight. If I have the chance, I will finish this fight in one round. Stephan Bonnar always fights so hard. I will have more speed, more agility than him, but I don’t know about the power. So if I see the chance, I will finish this quickly."
-Anderson Silva gives his prediction for Saturday's bout against Stephan Bonnar at UFC 153 during the open workouts on Wednesday.
Penick's Analysis: Silva echoed some of the comments that he had made earlier this week, but added a prediction for Saturday's fight as well. Even though Bonnar's never been stopped in his UFC career, if anyone's going to do it, you'd think Silva would be the most capable. Silva's got an uncanny ability to do whatever he pleases in the cage, and even when he faces adversity he finds ways to come out on top. He might need to adjust mid-fight, though he may just find a spot to finish in the first round. What is most intriguing about Saturday's fight is seeing just what he'll be able to pull off.
