Dan Hardy heads home to Nottingham, meets Amir Sadollah at UFC on Fuel 5

After halting a four-fight losing streak last month with his knockout win over Duane "Bang" Ludwig, Dan Hardy will return to his home city of Nottingham, England, for his next bout.

According to a report from MMAFighting.com, Hardy will square off against Ultimate Fighter season seven winner Amir Sadollah in his next bout, which will take place on Sept. 29 in Nottingham at UFC on Fuel 5.

Hardy's knockout win over Ludwig drew an immediate and ecstatic reaction from the Brit, as it stopped his losing streak at four fights and kept his spot on the UFC's roster. Hardy's slide began with a title fight against Georges St-Pierre, and after his decision loss to the Champ, he was knocked out by Carlos Condit, dropped a decision to Anthony Johnson, and got submitted by Chris Lytle.

Sadollah has had his fair share of ups and downs in his UFC run, but he'll enter this fight off a win over Jorge Lopez by split decision in his last bout. He's won three of his last four fights.

UFC on Fuel 5 is the UFC's first event in the UK in 2012, and is headlined by a heavyweight bout between Stefan Struve and Stipe Miocic.

Penick's Analysis: Hardy's participation in this card was expected, so this booking isn't at all a surprise. Sadollah is the right type of fight for Hardy after his first win since 2009, and it's a chance for him to pick up a second consecutive win in the Octagon. Both fighters have been inconsistent in the UFC, but they are capable of having entertaining fights and it should be a decent fight for this card in Hardy's hometown.
