Dustin Pague is stepping right back into the Octagon after his win over Jared Papazian last Friday at UFC on FX 3, stepping in for an injured Francisco Rivera to take on Ken Stone next week at UFC on FX 4.
Pague made quick work of Papazian, submitting him in just over three minutes last Friday night in Sunrise, Fla. The win bounced him back from a loss to John Albert in his organizational debut last December, and now he'll take just one week off from competition.
Rivera's injury means Stone now has his third scheduled opponent for next Friday's card, which emanates from Atlantic City. Originally scheduled to meet Edwin Figueroa, he was then matched up with Rivera when Figueroa was forced out with an injury. He's coming off a win in his last bout as well, a first round submission over Donny Walker last September.
Next Friday's card is headlined by a lightweight bout between Gray Maynard and Clay Guida, airing live on FX.
