The UFC is returning to Fairfax, Va. on May 15, and though it was initially reported as the third FX event, it will instead be the third Fuel TV card, and now it has its headliner.

The UFC announced on Friday afternoon that "The Korean Zombie" Chan Sung Jung will take on Dustin Poirier in a fantastic featherweight bout to top the night's event.

Jung enters his first UFC headlining fight fresh off the second-fastest knockout in UFC history. Jung stopped Mark Hominick in just under seven seconds back at UFC 140 in December. That win was a follow-up to his UFC-first twister submission over Leonard Garcia in March of last year.

Poirier, meanwhile, remained undefeated in his UFC career with his most recent win last weekend. The 23-year-old dominated UFC newcomer Max Holloway at UFC 143, earning a first round submission victory for his fourth straight win in the organization.

The winner of this fight is more than likely going to be the number one contender in the UFC's featherweight division, though it has not been explicitly confirmed as a number one contender fight.

Penick's Analysis: This is a fantastic featherweight matchup, but now I'm not sure who they'll put against Jose Aldo in his next fight. I suppose it's possible they're looking at Aldo potentially taking a lightweight fight in his next bout, but the prevailing idea had been putting Jung into the next title fight with Poirier being next in line after one more fight. With the two now facing each other, there isn't a clear contender for Aldo's next title defense, unless he's taking considerable time off to meet the winner of this fight later in the year.
