In following up with previous rumors and reports on the Nick Diaz situation, Nevada State Athletic Commission executive director Keith Kizer confirmed to The MMA Show with Mauro Ranallo that there was one positive drug test out of UFC 143.
Kizer wouldn't reveal who the positive test was from, but stated a release from the NSAC would be sent out this afternoon.
@FrontRowBrian on Twitter on Wednesday finally did comment on what he was informed regarding the issue that was rendering Diaz "unable to compete," and it had to do with the NSAC and a failed drug test. So at this point, though it hasn't been officially confirmed, signs are pointing to Diaz failing a drug test out of UFC 143. We'll have more on this later this afternoon when the NSAC officially releases the information on who failed their drug test and for what.
DON'T GO YET... WE SUGGEST THESE MMATORCH ARTICLES, TOO!
