By: Alex Williams, MMATorch Contributor Brandon Vera told the Baltimore Sun that Dan Henderson, Wanderlei Silva, and Sokoudjou all declined to fight him on July 19. Vera admits that he turned down a bout on that date with the confounding Lyoto Machida, stating that he needed more time to prepare for Lyoto's style.
Andy Reese is now scheduled to battle Vera. Given the short notice that any of the more intriguing fights would have taken place on (the July 19 card was just formulated last month), declining to participate should not be held against any of the fighters involved.
