UFC NEWS: Open tryouts coming to North Carolina on April 1st for season 12 of The Ultimate Fighter

With season eleven of the Ultimate Fighter set to debut at the end of this month, the UFC is gearing up for season twelve as well. Following the Fight Night 21 event in Charlotte, N.C. that serves as the lead in to the season on March 31st, open tryouts will be held for the twelfth season on April 1st at the Omni Charlotte Hotel's grand ballroom.

The tryouts are for the lightweight and light heavyweight divisions for this twelfth season. Both weight classes were represented in season eight of the program, and lightweights were involved in the ninth season's Team U.S. vs Team U.K. tournament.

For any fighters looking to tryout, registration begins at 8 a.m. ET, and tryouts begin at 10 a.m. ET. Fighters must arrive by 9 a.m. ET in appropriate workout wear. UFC president Dana White, executive producer Craig Piligian, producer Jamie Campione and Spike TV executive Brian J. Diamond will at the Omni Charlotte to judge the prospective competitors.
