UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar is seriously ill and his return has been pushed back indefinitely. According to Dana White at today's UFC 105 post fight press conference, Lesnar collapsed while at one of his properties in Canada and was rushed to the hospital, where the doctors found more wrong with him than the mono he had already been diagnosed with.

According to White, "[Lesnar] dropped. He went down, and he had to go to the hospital. They ran every test on the planet on him, and they ended up finding out something else was wrong with him."

White went on to say, "He is not good. He is very, very sick, and he's going to be out for a while...He doesn't want to talk about it publicly, but he's in bad shape. He's not well. He's not going to be getting well anytime soon."

It's unclear just how long Lesnar may be out for, but there is a possibility that not only is his illness career threatening but even worse. That is not known at this point, but Lesnar has been flown to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, to continue tests to determine what's going on with him.

White said he does not want to strip a Champion of a Title he's rightfully earned, but they may need to look at crowning an Interim Champion once again if Lesnar is held out even longer.

Penick's Analysis: This is sounding more and more serious, and regardless of your opinion of him to this point you've got to hope for his well being and hope that whatever is going on with him gets figured out. His fans especially want to see him get better so they can watch him fight again, and right now that part of it has to be put on the backburner until all of this gets figured out. Hopefully this won't end up being something life threatening, and if it isn't hopefully it won't be career threatening either.
