Matt Mitrione ended up in your shoes with the group in the house as a betting pool was developed for when he would snap as well. Did you take part in that betting pool after they'd taken those same bets on you?
Sadly I did. I regret doing it because it was childish and even though Matt picked a date on my calender I should have not picked a date on his calender.
While you were certainly made the target of jokes, Mitrione seemed to have a different level of scorn with people legitimately having issues with him in the house. Did you notice any distinction there or was it off your radar what was going on with Mitrione in the house?
I knew people hated him and he was a drama queen. He caused a lot of drama with the note and the fight pick he leaked. He was called meathead for a reason
When the final two fights were announced was there any surprise with the final match-ups Rashad and his coaches decided to go with?
No, because since Matt let the cat out of the bag with the plane I knew they would change the picks up.
The fight was another where both fighters seemed to gas terribly in the first round, but to his credit Mitrione knocked Scott Junk down on multiple occasions and that was one of the main reasons he won that fight. What were your thoughts on the fight as it happened and now seeing it a second time last night?
Well Matt won the first round and Scott won the second, it should have gone to a third round. They were both tired but kept going. one judge saw it 19-19 and the other 2 saw Matt winning both rounds. I thought it was a bad decision.
The win for Mitrione was seen as an upset and it put your team down 7-0 in the fights, with Rampage going on a rampage after yet another loss. The trash talk and heat between him and Rashad seemed to be at the boiling point after this fight, what were your thoughts on that particular incident with Rampage destroying the door and him and Rashad getting into it worse than ever?
It was extremely childish and I thought it was ridiculously stupid. I hate that kind of crap. That's why I try to stay away from it, nothing good comes from it.
With your fight finished the episode before, what was it like for you in the house knowing you were stuck there for another few weeks with what you'd already been dealing with, and now you had the loss on top of that?
I just knew I had to try and get the most I could out of training the next couple of weeks. I was mad I lost but you never know, you have to be ready if an opportunity comes up where you get another chance. I wasn't like Kimbo hoping someone got hurt but if it happened I want to be ready if I got the second chance.
