THE ULTIMATE FIGHTER: LIVE
MARCH 9, 2012
LIVE FROM LAS VEGAS, NEVADA
Jon Anik opens up the broadcast with a live look in to the locker rooms, then to the middle of the cage with Anik and Dana White opening up the proceedings to discuss the live format. A new opening video showcases the "core disciplines of mixed martial arts," and highlights our coaches, Dominick Cruz and Urijah Faber.
The UFC training center is littered with blown up photos of past starts from The Ultimate Fighter. We then shoot to a couple of days ago with the fighters being introduced to the coaches, and White running down what's going to happen this week. Then he drops a bombshell: tonight's 16 elimination round fights will be one round apiece! Each fighter has only five minutes to make their case to get in the house. White then let them know that fans will again be voting for the best fight, submission, and knockout of the season.
Back live, Anik reveals that all fighters earning stoppage victories tonight will earn $5,000.
