UFC 110 has a stacked fight card which I expect to be absolutely amazing, including prelims. I gave my point of view on the main events in the Roundtables the last two days, but here are my thoughts on some of the other key fights.
Brian Foster is coming off of his destruction of Brock Larson and I would really like to see this fight between him and Chris Lytle. (Lytle has won three straight Fight of the Night Honors.) This is going to be a great fight as well. It's Chris Lytles fight to lose.
Stephan Bonnar takes on Krzysztof Soszynski. Bonnar is fighting after two straight losses to Mark Coleman and Jon Jones. (If Bonnar does not put everything he has in this fight, he could be just another ultimate fighter cut off the roster.) Soszynski is coming off of his first loss in two years to Brandon Vera. I expect Soszynski to take this fight, but Bonnar will fight with everything to keep his job.
C.B. Dollaway makes his return to the Octagon to welcome back Goran Reljic. Reljic is coming off an injury and this is his debut fight at Middleweight. Dollaway is TUF Season 7 finalists and has gone 3-2 inside the UFC. All those fights are just on the prelims. (I wish Spike was showing prelims this weekend.)
Keith Jardine fights the winner of TUF season 8 Ryan Bader. Bader is undefeated in the Octagon and Keith Jardine has gone 6-5 while in the UFC and fought some very steep competition. I think that Bader will use his strength and wrestling to control the fight. Although I see the fight going to the judges, I think that Bader will get the victory.
Joe Stevenson fights Australian native George Sotiropoulos. Both fighters are great in jiu-jitsu, so I would think that they are planning on testing each other on there stand-up. Stevenson has the factor strictly on experience with over 40 fights on his record and he has faced stronger opponents than George has. George has a record of 11-2, he has avenged one of those losses and the other loss is to Shinya Aoki (by DQ though), whom he has not been able to fight again. I think that this fight is going to be really close and I can see it going either way. Joe has the edge and I am going to go with him, but I would not be surprised if the hometown boy pulled a win.
