Figure 4 Weekly Online reports (subscription required) that several Elite XC fighters have been told the promotion is finished after CBS decided against purchasing it. Apparently, a significant factor in the death of the deal stemmed from Seth Petruzelli's comments that he was paid a bonus to not take Kimbo Slice to the ground and the subsequent investigation launched into "Stand-Up Gate" by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (parent department of the State Boxing Commission).
Figure 4 Weekly Online also notes that the November 8 Elite XC show has yet to be officially canceled, "but that word is expected shortly. Fighters on the show have gotten word that the show is off."
