Williams' MMA News Blog: Florida Commission Closes StandGate Investigation, But Questions Remain

The Florida State Boxing Commission has wrapped-up its short lived, ad hoc investigation of Elite XC's StandGate, finding no wrongdoing on the promotion's part.

Meanwhile, Elite XC executive consultant TJ Thompson maintains that he "was told by two executives cageside that everything was taken care of and that the fight wasn’t going to the ground."

Despite an expressed openness to talking to the Florida Commission, Thomspon was never contatced by them, nor were MMA reporters Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez, who say that they had heard of such "stand-up bonuses" being offered for previous Elite XC fights.
