Paul Daley's got an opponent for the Shark Fights 13 pay-per-view this September. Already expected to be a part of the card, the organization announced on Tuesday that Daley will be facing off against Jorge Masvidal on the event.
Masvidal is most famous for being on the losing end of 2009's "Submission of the Year" from Toby Imada in Bellator's season one lightweight tournament. Masvidal is moving up to welterweight, tired of having to cut over 30 lbs. to make the lightweight limit.
Daley, meanwhile, is looking to get his second straight win since getting booted from the UFC for sucker punching Josh Koscheck at UFC 113. He defeated Daniel Acacio in Australia last month in his first fight since the incident.
Penick's Analysis: This is another good matchup for Shark Fights and this pay-per-view event. Though I still think they've got themselves priced a bit too high for the pay-per-view event, this is a very strong card for being outside of the major organizations. They'll draw very well in Texas for the event, and there will be a decent amount of fans willing to plop down the money for the pay-per-view event.
