Shark Fights 13 on September 11 is quickly becoming one of the more stacked cards you'll see outside of the major organizations. Already boasting light heavyweight bouts featuring Keith Jardine against Trevor Prangley and Houston Alexander against Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou, it was revealed on Friday's Inside MMA program that a middleweight bout between EliteXC and Strikeforce vet Joey Villasenor and UFC vet Drew McFedries is headed to the card as well.
McFedries went 4-5 in his nine fight stint with the UFC, picking up all of his wins by knockout in the first round. He was released last year after his loss to Tomasz Drwal put him at 1-3 in his last four fights.
Villasenor had a four fight win streak snapped earlier this year by Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza, who defeated him by decision at Strikeforce: Heavy Artillery in May. This fight will mark his 35th as a professional.
Shark Fights 13 takes place on September 11 from the Amarillo Civic Center in Amarillo, Texas.
Penick's Analysis: For fights outside of the UFC and Strikeforce in the U.S., this is one of the better fight cards you'll find. All of these match ups are fresh and interesting, and the kind of fights you're only going to see on some of these smaller shows that fighters wind up on for one reason or another. Fans in Texas are definitely in for a treat, and depending on the viewing options for fans in the rest of the country, they may be willing to check these fights out.

I am very nervous that Carlos Condit will win on Saturday night, and that I won't be able to fight Nick Diaz this summer. Carlos Condit is a very good fighter, he can strike, he is aggressive and he has submissions...
Georges St-Pierre is the only logical choice for Sonnen, since he's made it clear to the world at large that Anderson Silva wants nothing to do with him. And since everything that comes out of Chael's mouth when hyping a fight can be taken as gospel...
