Moosin USA, who promoted May's Tim Sylvia vs. Mariusz Pudzianowski event in Boston, are looking to make a return in October with Pudzianowski once again in a featured bout.
According to a report from MMAFighting.com, they are bringing their promotion to Chicago, Illinois on October 9, and they're looking to set up a feature bout between Pudzianowski and EliteXC and UFC vet Kimbo Slice.
"I would say the Kimbo-Pudzian fight is the furthest from being finished, but we're trying to work on it and make it happen," Moosin executive Corey Fischer said.
Slice, real name Kevin Ferguson, has been out of action since a May loss to Matt Mitrione at UFC 113. He was released from the organization after the loss.
Pudzianowski, the former "World's Strongest Man" competitor, lost to Sylvia in the second round of their bout on the first Moosin USA event.
In addition to that fight, a bout between Tim Sylvia and Hong Man Choi is being looked at as the other main fight on the card.
"Chicago is a place with the biggest Polish market in America," he said. "We'll have Pudzianowski, but we're also going to have fighters from all over the world. Moosin is not just about American fights. We want to bring in star-studded fighters from all over."
Penick's Analysis: This is actually a fight that makes a lot of sense for Kimbo. He's got more experience than Pudzianowski, and it's one of those fights that EliteXC would have put together for him to showcase his striking skills. Unlike in EliteXC, however, Moosin won't be trying to pass him off as something he's not. The Sylvia-Choi bout makes some sense as well, as it's a name that has faced off against a number of other big name heavyweights in his career, and it's actually a step up for Sylvia after fighting Pudzianowski and getting embarrassed by Ray Mercer.

"There's still a large contingent of people, that they just want to see these guys almost die, or the other guy almost die and come back, and sometimes fights are like that. Certainly they are. But sometimes you get technical masterpieces too, and to hate a beautiful, technical fight - you're not really a fight fan...
