By: Jamie Penick, MMATorch Editor-in-Chief Eight year veteran MMA fighter Ross "The Grizzly" Clifton was found dead late last week in his home, according to a report from MMAWeekly.com.
The super heavyweight is perhaps best known for being Ken Shamrock's last opponent at the February "Wargods" event. According to the report, Clifton passed away from an apparent heart attack. He was 32.
The MMAWeekly report cites UFC veteran Cal Worsham, Clifton's former trainer, as saying Clifton's wife found him Friday morning after Clifton was watching television in a recliner the night before. No other details are known at this time.
Penick's Thoughts: Tragically sad for anyone to pass away so young. To all his friends, family and all those who knew him in this sport, we can only send out our thoughts and sympathies.
DON'T GO YET... WE SUGGEST THESE MMATORCH ARTICLES, TOO!
