The World Series of Fighting is running a one-night only eight-man lightweight tournament on Friday night on NBCSN, and on Thursday the lineup got shaken up a bit.
According to a report from MMAFighting.com, both Brian Cobb and tournament reserve fighter Benny Madrid dropped out of the event on Thursday, leading to some new matchups.
The new quarterfinal field now consists of the following:
Luis Palomino vs. Richard Patishnock - tournament quarterfinals
Brian Foster vs. Joao Zeferino - tournament quarterfinals
Mike Ricci vs. Joe Condon - tournament quarterfinals
Islam Mamedov vs. Jorge Patino - tournament quarterfinals
LaRue Burley vs. Ramil Mustapayev - tournament reserve bout
Friday's broadcast will also feature a lightweight bout between UFC vets Jason High and Estevan Payan.
MMATorch will have live coverage of the WSOF 25 broadcast on NBCSN Friday night from columnist Rich Hansen. Jamie Penick will have bring a live report on the Bellator 146 card running on Spike.
