The World Series of Fighting has added two new competitors to its lightweight division, with VP Ali Abdel-Aziz announcing on Twitter that Jason High and Mike Ricci are on their way to the organization.
High returns to action for the first time since his loss to now-UFC Lightweight Champion Rafael dos Anjos last June. High was stopped by TKO in that fight, but felt the referee stopped it early. In his frustration, he lightly shoved the referee away from him, and that action got him both released by the UFC and suspended by New Mexico's regulatory body.
Ricci, another veteran of the UFC, was supposed to fight twice in the last year for Titan Fighting Championships, but both of his scheduled bouts were canceled. He won two fights in that organization in 2014 following his release from the UFC, defeating fellow UFC vets George Sotiropoulos and Jorge Gurgel.
