Bellator Fighting Championships ran their second to last event of the first season last night in Uncasville, CT, headlined by the finals in the Welterweight Tournament.
After two fights apiece and ten previous events in the bag, it took Lyman Good just 1:23 to finish Omar De La Cruz to become the first Bellator Welterweight Champion.
Like Joe Soto last week, Good took home $100,000 from this bout to bring his eleven week winnings in this tournament to $175,000.
Next week brings the twelfth and final Bellator event for this first season, and there will be two titles to be earned in the middleweight and lightweight divisions.
