Cage Warrior 66 is only two days away now, and the latest news is that Tommy Maguire (15-5) has sustained an injury, forcing him to pull out of his upcoming fight against Damir Hadzovic (7-2) on Saturday. Cage Warriors were quick to find a replacement this week, though, when none other than older brother John Maguire decided to stand up to take the fight on short notice.
John Maguire (19-7) will be taking the fight only 21 days after he last fought at CWFC 65 in Dublin, Ireland, where he suffered a decision loss vs. Saul Rodgers.
The 30-year-old Maguire stated, "I'm a fighter, and as a fighter, I'm always ready to step in, accept a challenge and compete."
Maguire will be eager to get back to winning ways when he meets Hadzovic, having only secured one victory in his last five MMA fights.
If you want to learn more about the undefeated Nicolas Dalby who will be headlining CWFC 66 main event for the vacant welterweight bout vs. Sergei Churilov. Click on the link provided below for an insightful and fascinating fifteen minute documentary on Dalby lead up to his CWFC title bout.
