In an interview with DreamFighters.com, Fedor Emelianenko says that he and his management want to meet with Dana White "in person" in June to discuss a fight between Fedor and Brock Lesnar. Fedor acknowledges that he has another fight to fulfill in his contract with Affliction first.
Williams' Analysis: I assume that Fedor would be interested in fighting Frank Mir if Mir defeats Lesnar in May. This would be the first time that Fedor and Dana had met each other. In terms of working out a deal for Fedor to come to the UFC, that's a good thing. If Fedor and his management team still have the same ludicrous demand, though, that M-1 (Fedor's management team's fight organization) should get to co-promote the event with the UFC, then there's no way a contract gets signed.

In a country that has the 'world series', made up of only US teams, its
easily to believe that most Americans believe that the UFC is MMA, and that
the best in the world are in the UFC. Russia in contrast has some 180 odd
million and Russian Combat Sambo is a national sport, Fedor is the best.
Fedor simply wants to compete in his national sport, of which he is the
best, oh, he also happens to be the best in MMA, if not convinced, just
watch ALL of his 29 bouts (undefeated, but not untouched), then judge.

Um... You should check Fedor's record again... He has lost once from a cut
early on in the first round... a TKO! Whom ever he meets (Mir or Lesnar) he
looses! He's a small Heavy Weight by comparrison and a lot of miles on his
young body.

atxguy - i hope you know your mma better than you can spell (looses,
comparrison ???). Anyway, it's obvious you haven't in fact seen any of
Fedor's fights - the TKO loss included, as you wouldn't count that as a
loss if you had. It's good to see your one eyed Yankee patriotism (yes I'm
sure you think you beat China in the Olympics medal tally even though they
got more golds :)) but putting Mir and Lesnar anywhere in the same league
as Fedor is embarrassing. I really hope Fedor fights either of them this
year. But you better not blink otherwise you'll miss an early KO by Fedor.

Fedor is due for a butt kicking by Lesnar. Especially after he showed up
with his priest to that last bout and can't open his mouth withou saying
"god". What a shame to work that hard to literally fight your way out of
poverty then give the credit to some non-existant leader.

Hey alex, don't let atxguy misrepresent a fan from the USA. He obviously
knows nothing. Fedor has been immortal in his previous fights and with
that fact alone, he wins many fights mentally before even entering the
ring. Frank Mir will probably lose to Lesnar this time and if Fedor gets
in the ring with Randy OR Brock in the next two years at least, I see
nothing but a victory for him. and by the way - the guy he lost to via BS
TKO, he got a rematch with and destroyed the guy... He had 4-5 chances to
submit him but chose not to and just kept pounding his face into a slab of
beef.

and atxguy, no disrespect meant but I think you come from a
WWF/WWE-watching background and would enjoy the BS testosterone drama of
that. Stick with it! ;)
