...OH, ONE MORE THING - PLEASE BOOKMARK US & VISIT DAILY!
By: Alex Williams, MMATorch Contributor Last night, UFC veteran Drew Fickett was knocked out in the second round by Richard Villes at the 113th Rage in the Cage event (yes, 113th!). Villes, who sported a 3-2 record entering the bout, had not fought in close to two years and had never faced a name opponent before. Sherdog has the details here.
This huge upset is reminiscent of one Fickett (34-6) suffered in 2003 to journeyman Landon Showalter (6-12-1). It also caps a crazy month or so for Fickett, who had potential bouts with Jake Shields at last weekend's Elite XC and a main event against Ryan Ford at Maximum Fighting Championship bizarrely fall apart.
