OTHER NEWS: "Rampage" brought to civil court over July incident

Quinton "Rampage" Jackson has even more to deal with stemming from his July 2008 delirium fueled drive that ultimately resulted in a heavy fine and community service along with probation, as according to a report from TMZ.com he's now been brought to civil court.

The report says that Holli Griggs has filed suit against Jackson claiming damages of $25k for property damage, personal injury and emotional distress due to her belief that his actions resulted in the stillbirth of her baby.

Her claim states that Jackson repeatedly rammed into her vehicle to "escape and flee the scene" and that it caused her to impact her steering wheel, rupturing her amniotic fluid membranes, ultimately causing the stillbirth.

This is being brought as a civil case despite the criminal investigation finding her miscarriage unrelated to the accident, and no charges were brought against Jackson on that front.

Penick's Analysis: There's a possibility Jackson settles this case to put it all behind him, but with the criminal investigation finding no connection here Griggs may not have much to stand on with the civil case. It's a terribly sad situation for her to have lost her unborn child, but this was already looked into and it was determined that Jackson's rampage was not at fault for this. He got off somewhat light on the entire incident with his fine and community service work, but he's done nothing but cooperate and he's been without incident since then. And Jackson himself has expressed sympathy towards Griggs in this situation, but in reality based on what was found it wasn't what he did that was to blame here.
