IMPACT FC RESULTS: Josh Barnett, Karo Parisyan pick up victories in Australia at debut Impact FC event

Impact Fighting Championships have made their debut in Australia at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre, and former UFC veterans Josh Barnett, Karo Parisyan and Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou all picked up victories on the card.

Barnett made quick work of Geronimo Dos Santos, taking him down a couple of times in the first round before getting the mount and throwing down punches to force a stoppage.

Parisyan had a rougher time with his opponent, Ben Mortimer, who blasted him with some hard punches in the fight. He recovered, however, and finished the fight with a rear naked choke in the second round.

Sokoudjou also did not need much time in his fight, picking up a TKO win over Joaquim Ferreira in the first round. Full event results are below:

• Thiago Meller defeated Jai Bradney via Submission (Guillotine Choke), Round 1, 1:32

• Jeff Monson defeated Ubiritan Lima Marinho via Decision (Unanimous)

• Rameau Theirry Sokoudjou defeated Joaquim Ferreira via TKO (Punches, Round 1, 1:20

• Brian Ebersole defeated Carlos Newton via Decision (Unanimous)

• Josh Barnett defeated Geronimo Dos Santos via TKO (Punches), Round 1, 2:35
