Affliction's July 19 debut PPV event, entitled "Banned", has officially switched from the American Airlines Center in Dallas to Anaheim's Honda Center.  Tom Atencio, Affliction's vice president, announced the PPV bouts as:

Heavyweights - Fedor Emelianenko (27-1, 6 (T)KOs, 14 Submissions) vs. Tim Sylvia (24-4, 16 (T)KOs, 2 Submissions)

Heavyweights - Pedro Rizzo (16-7, 9 (T)KOs, 4 Submissions) vs. Josh Barnett (21-5, 4 (T)KOs, 14 Submissions)

Light heavyweights - Renato Sobral (29-7, 2 (T)KOs, 16 Submissions) vs. Mike Whitehead (20-5, 5 (T)KOs, 10 Submissions)

Middleweights - Matt Lindland (20-5, 6 (T)KOs, 8 Submissions) vs. Fabio Negao (8-3, 4 (T)KOs, 2 Submissions)

Heavyweights - Ben Rothwell (29-5, 17 (T)KOs, 10 Submissions) vs T.B.D. but possibly Andrei Arlovski (12-5, 8 (T)KOs, 3 Submissions)

Tickets for the event go on sale May 20th.

Goodman Analysis: I will be attending the event and can't wait to finally see Fedor fighting in the US. Will they plant the seeds for the anticipated Couture-Emelianenko showdown (unofficially scheduled for later this year) or will Sylvia play the spoiler?

Overall, this card looks like a better event than EliteXC's first CBS show. However, using wrestling as an analogy, Affliction is ROH and EliteXC is WCW. In that context, EliteXC on CBS will be the bigger show (by a large margin).

Any readers that know if Affliction will be using a cage or ring email me at Jster74@aol.com.
