By: Jamie Penick, MMATorch Editor-in-Chief World Victory Road added another fight to their January 4th Sengoku 7 event, and it will mark a return to action for former EliteXC Heavyweight Champion Antonio Silva. Silva, of course, is currently under a one year suspension from the California State Athletic Commission due to testing positive for boldenone following his Title win at EliteXC's "Unfinished Business" event in July. He appealed the ruling and was shot down in October. To this day he proclaims his innocence, and he'll now be getting back to action in this event against the 7-1 Yoshihiro Nakao.
The announced card for Sengoku 7 so far features:
-Yoshihiro Nakao vs. Antonio Silva
-Hidehiko Yoshida vs. Sanae Kikuta
-Kazuo Misaki vs. Jorge Santiago
-Takanori Gomi vs. Satoru Kitaoka
Penick's Analysis: Despite his claims of innocence, Silva may end up blackballing himself from U.S. events for circumventing his suspension and taking this fight in Japan; so this really may not be a good decision on his part.
